        "content": "<p>Houses inundated in Cilacap<\/p>\n<p>CILACAP, Central Java (JP): Some 3,500 houses in 11 villages in<br>\nthe Kawunganten subdistrict, Cilacap regency, have been inundated<br>\nin flooding since Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The water level in the flooded areas, which has not shown any<br>\nsigns of dropping, is currently 70 centimeters.<\/p>\n<p>The villages inundated include Grumbul, Bringkeng, Grugu,<br>\nBojong, Ramajaya, Ujungalang, Kalimanis, Panikel and Kalijeruk.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of residents have sought refuge on higher ground and<br>\nare currently staying in makeshift shelters or in various public<br>\nbuildings, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, floods have destroyed the ready-to-harvest crops<br>\non about 220 hectares of rice fields.<\/p>\n<p>A score of villagers have reportedly caught influenza during<br>\nthe flooding.<\/p>\n<p>\"How can we stay healthy if we have to stay outdoors day and<br>\nnight, in this cold weather?\" one resident asked. \"We are also<br>\nrunning out of food,\" he added.
