        "content": "<p>House urged to name truant legislators<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Certain factions in the House of Representatives have<br>\ndemanded that the House disciplinary committee reveal the names<br>\nof truant legislators.<\/p>\n<p>Arif Mudatsir Mandan and Bursah Zarnubi of the United<br>\nDevelopment Party (PPP) and the Reform Star Party (PBR) both<br>\nclaimed on Wednesday that disclosing names would act as a<br>\ndeterrent for absenteeism.<\/p>\n<p>The House's disciplinary committee chairman Slamet Effendy<br>\nYusuf yesterday refused to divulge the names of the legislators,<br>\narguing that not all of them had understood the new House<br>\nregulations.<\/p>\n<p>Ten legislators had apparently skipped meetings three times in<br>\na row without the permission of their respective faction, thus<br>\nviolating the House's new code of ethics.<\/p>\n<p>Arif said there was no need let the legislators off the hook<br>\nbecause they should have known the regulations. - JP<\/p>",
