        "content": "<p>House to back terrorism regulation<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The nine factions in the House of Representatives<br>\n(DPR) are likely to accept the implementation of the government<br>\nregulation in lieu of a terrorism law at a plenary session on<br>\nMarch 6.<\/p>\n<p>The session will hear the stance of House factions on the<br>\ngovernment regulation, which many consider to have some<br>\nrepressive articles.<\/p>\n<p>Both House Speaker Akbar Tandjung and House deputy speaker<br>\nTosari Widjaja said on Tuesday that some factions had warned the<br>\ngovernment of possible criticism should it take draconian<br>\nmeasures.<\/p>\n<p>The government issued the regulation to deal with the impact<br>\nof the Oct. 12 Bali bombings and terrorism in general.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, a House committee is deliberating the draft law on<br>\nterrorism, which is expected to supercede the government<br>\nregulation in lieu of law. - JP<\/p>",
