"summary": "Indonesian House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani has urged the government to prioritise fiscal discipline, sustainable development, and social protection amid global pressures from geopolitical and geo-economic conflicts in the Middle East, particularly affecting the Strait of Hormuz. She highlighted the transmission of these tensions to Indonesia's economy through rupiah depreciation, rising energy and fuel prices, increased logistics costs, and supply chain disruptions, which could trigger inflation and reduce consumer purchasing power. The DPR supports government efforts to maintain national economic stability, energy resilience, mitigate foreign capital outflows, control essential goods prices, and protect vulnerable communities.",
