Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of House of Representatives Commission XI\nMukhamad Misbakhun has assessed that Indonesia is now entering a crucial\nphase in driving economic growth through strategic investment.<\/p>\n
Misbakhun made the remarks in response to the Indonesia Economic\nOutlook 2026 forum, which highlighted the importance of strategic\ninvestment policy direction, downstreaming, and strengthening the real\nsector.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndonesia needs investment that delivers tangible impact, creates\nindustries, expands employment, and increases national capacity. This\nmust be the focus to ensure sustainable and inclusive economic growth,\u201d\nMisbakhun said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Commission XI chairman, whose committee\u2019s remit covers finance,\nnational development planning, monetary affairs, and the financial\nservices sector, stressed that this momentum must be promptly translated\ninto consistent execution on the ground.<\/p>\n
He assessed that the current global context demands that the country\nmove swiftly to build domestic industrial strength, particularly in the\nenergy, critical minerals, food, and technology sectors.<\/p>\n
In this situation, institutional readiness and policy consistency are\nthe determining factors.<\/p>\n
Misbakhun noted that Indonesia is beginning to develop a more\nstructured framework for managing long-term investment, including\nthrough Danantara Indonesia as a national investment platform.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe presence of Danantara signals that the state is beginning to\nbuild a more systematic mechanism for linking industrial needs,\nfinancing, and investor interest.
