Member of the House of Representatives’ Commission III, Rikwanto, has
urged law enforcement to pursue all assets belonging to suspect Febrie
Adriansyah, the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, in
connection with alleged corruption and money laundering. He suspects
that many assets resulting from the crime are still being concealed, and
a comprehensive asset trace is crucial to uncover the flow of funds and
detect the involvement of other parties in the corrupt practices. “We
suspect there are still many hiding places for these unclear assets,
which are believed to be proceeds of crime, that need to be uncovered,”
Rikwanto stated during a meeting at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on
Saturday. To ensure the legal process is transparent and thorough,
Rikwanto expressed support for the proposal by Commission III Chairman
Habiburokhman to form a Special Committee tasked with overseeing the
Attorney General’s Office’s handling of the case. He stressed that
anyone involved must be thoroughly investigated and confirmed his
faction’s full backing for the oversight committee. Head of the
Corruption Eradication Corps at the National Police’s Criminal
Investigation Division, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, confirmed
that Febrie Adriansyah has been named a suspect alongside a private
party identified by the initials DR, suspected to be Don Ritto. The
suspect designation followed a case review, the examination of 15
witnesses and two experts, and a series of searches. The case involves
alleged corruption in the handling of the PT Asabri legal matter and
other corruption offences. In line with a synergy agreement between the
police and the Attorney General’s Office, the investigation has been
transferred to the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. Prior to
this, a joint team from the police conducted a search at a house in the
Sentul area, Bogor Regency, seizing evidence as part of a joint
investigation covering three major cases: alleged corruption in coal
governance, corruption at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the 2020–2025
period, and suspected money laundering in the settlement of PT CBS’s
debt to PT KNI. Febrie Adriansyah is charged under multiple articles of
the Corruption Eradication Law, the Money Laundering Law, and the new
Criminal Code.
",
