        "content": "<p>The Budget Committee (Banggar) of the Indonesian House of\nRepresentatives (DPR) has approved the budget ceiling and additional\nfunding requests for seven Coordinating Ministries within President\nPrabowo Subianto\u2019s Red and White Cabinet for the 2027 fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>The total budget for the seven ministries amounts to Rp 3.1 trillion.\nThe allocation includes Rp 664 billion for the Coordinating Ministry for\nEconomic Affairs, Rp 304.1 billion for the Coordinating Ministry for\nHuman Development and Culture, Rp 392.2 billion for the Coordinating\nMinistry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, and Rp 509.3 billion\nfor the Coordinating Ministry for Food.<\/p>\n<p>Further allocations include Rp 338.8 billion for the Coordinating\nMinistry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Rp 276.8\nbillion for the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional\nDevelopment, and Rp 620.9 billion for the Coordinating Ministry for\nCommunity Empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>Banggar Chairman Said Abdullah sought approval for the individual\nbudget ceilings, which was granted by the committee members during a\nworking meeting with the seven coordinating ministers in Jakarta on\nMonday (22\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Said explained that the decision was made to streamline the meeting\nprocess, as the ministers had already submitted their requests for\nadditional funding to the committee members and these had been reviewed\nbeforehand, even though no detailed discussion was broadcast to the\npublic today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, we agree that in the discussion, the ministers will of course\npropose additional budget ceilings in their presentations, as is usual,\u201d\nSaid stated. \u201cAnd if that happens, so that the ministers do not have to\ngo back and forth to the Budget Committee, we approve those additions\ntoday.
