House attacked after flag removed<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A mob pelted stones at a house belonging to the
\nhead of Gintung village in Mauk district in Tangerang late
\nTuesday after its owner tore down a Golkar flag hoisted near the
\nresidence, a police officer said.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Lt. Col. Zainuri Lubis identified the
\nhouse owner on Wednesday as Asep Nawawi, 40.<\/p>\n
\"Earlier in the afternoon Asep tore down a Golkar flag which
\nhad been hoisted in front of his house,\" Lubis said, referring to
\nthe ruling party.<\/p>\n
No details were available about why Asep tore down the flag.<\/p>\n
A few hours later a group of at least 20 young men marched to
\nAsep's house and asked him to explain why he tore down the flag.<\/p>\n
When Asep tried to contact security personnel at about 10:30
\np.m., the mob stoned the house, causing damage to the roof and
\nwindows.<\/p>\n
After damaging the house, the mob reportedly dispersed
\npeacefully.<\/p>\n
Lubis said no arrests were made in the attack and the case was
