        "content": "<p>Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi announced that Commission\nV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has approved the\nindicative budget ceiling for the Ministry of Transportation for the\n2027 fiscal year at Rp 28.34 trillion. Dudy explained that, based on a\njoint letter from the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National\nDevelopment Planning\/Bappenas dated 7 May 2025, the Ministry of\nTransportation received an Indicative Budget Ceiling for 2027 of Rp\n28.34 trillion. Meanwhile, the Funding Indication for the 2027 Strategic\nPlan amounts to Rp 46.21 trillion. Consequently, there is a gap of Rp\n17.87 trillion, or 38.67 percent. Compared to the 2027 Budget\nRequirement Ceiling of Rp 55.16 trillion, the gap widens to Rp 26.82\ntrillion, or 48.62 percent. \u201cThis condition shows that there are still a\nnumber of priority programmes, particularly in aspects of safety, basic\nservices, and regional connectivity, which require additional budget\nsupport,\u201d Dudy stated on Thursday, 18 June 2026. \u201cThis is very important\nso that the transportation development targets in the country can be\nachieved optimally,\u201d he added. According to Dudy, the preparation of\nprogrammes and budgets for 2027 is directed towards several aspects,\nranging from transportation safety to supporting the national economic\ngrowth agenda. He also outlined a number of priority programmes to be\nimplemented by each Echelon I work unit within the Ministry of\nTransportation in 2027. These include the Directorate General of Land\nTransportation, which will support the implementation of Zero ODOL (Over\nDimension Over Load), improve road safety, handle accident-prone\nlocations, and provide pioneer transport services. The Directorate\nGeneral of Sea Transportation will focus on supporting maritime safety\nand security, pioneer sea transport services, and sea transport\nconnectivity infrastructure. The Directorate General of Air\nTransportation will cover the fulfilment of aviation safety and security\nfacilities, supervision and control of security and safety, and pioneer\nair transport services. The Directorate General of Railways will handle\nthe operation and maintenance of railway infrastructure, infrastructure\ndevelopment and level crossing management, as well as pioneer railway\ntransport services and free motorcycle transport. The Transportation\nHuman Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) will organise transport\nvocational education, provide training facilities and infrastructure,\nand adjust integrated training institutions. Lastly, the Directorate\nGeneral of Transport Integration and Multimodal will plan intermodal\ntransport integration infrastructure in several regions, plan\nintegration services in the 3TP (Disadvantaged, Frontier, Outermost) and\nPapua regions, and develop intermodal and multimodal information\nsystems.<\/p>",
