        "content": "<p>House aborts motion, PDI-P plans another<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The House of Representatives (DPR) has dropped a<br>\nproposal to summon the President over his decision to revoke a<br>\nletter on the replacement of the Indonesian Military (TNI) chief.<\/p>\n<p>At a plenary meeting on Tuesday, 244 legislators voted against<br>\nthe proposal, 49 voted in favor, and one legislator abstained.<\/p>\n<p>A number of legislators had previously proposed that President<br>\nSusilo Bambang Yudhoyono be summoned by the House to explain his<br>\nrevocation of a letter from his predecessor, Megawati<br>\nSoekarnoputri, who had appointed Army chief Gen. Ryamizard<br>\nRyacudu to replace TNI chief Gen. Endriartono Sutarto.<\/p>\n<p>Megawati&apos;s PDI-P faction was at the forefront of the move to<br>\nsummon President Susilo.
