        "content": "<p>Horta wants to form shadow govt<\/p>\n<p>CANBERRA (Antara): Anti-integration activist Jose Ramos Horta<br>\nhas announced his so-called East Timor Liberation movement would<br>\nset up a shadow government in Indonesia&apos;s 27th province.<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet line up would consist of East Timorese anti-<br>\nIndonesian activists who live abroad and in the province, he<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Ramos Horta, who shared the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize with Dili<br>\nBishop Carlos Filipe Ximenes Belo, said on Australian SBS radio<br>\nhere recently that the names of the shadow cabinet members could<br>\nnot be revealed for fear of the safety of those in East Timor.<\/p>\n<p>He said if the &quot;officials&quot; proved their usefulness, the shadow<br>\ngovernment could in time be &quot;recognized as the legal government<br>\nfor the East Timorese people&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The former Portuguese colony integrated into Indonesia in 1976<br>\nbut the United Nations still recognizes Lisbon as its<br>\nadministrator.<\/p>\n<p>A test round of talks on East Timor between Indonesian and<br>\nPortuguese foreign ministers under the auspices of the UN has<br>\nbeen postponed.<\/p>\n<p>Ramos Horta, who visited Macao recently, said the idea had<br>\nbeen forwarded to former Fretilin leader Xanana Gusmao, who is<br>\nstill serving his 20-year-imprisonment in Jakarta&apos;s Cipinang<br>\nprison.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a court in London reportedly adjourned the case of<br>\nthe two British anti-Indonesian government activists Carol<br>\nO&apos;Leary and Stefen Handcock.<\/p>\n<p>Both allegedly trespassed on the British Aerospace Airbase and<br>\ndestroyed a number of jet fighters purchased by the Indonesian<br>\ngovernment in a protest against the selling of jet fighters to<br>\nIndonesia.<\/p>",
