        "content": "<p>Horse carts vs pedicabs<\/p>\n<p>PALU, Central Sulawesi: At least 400 horse cart drivers have<br>\nstaged a protest in front of the provincial council building,<br>\ndemanding the administration ban mass operation of becak<br>\n(pedicab) in the capital.<\/p>\n<p>\"The operation of massive pedicabs has made it hard for us to<br>\nearn a living,\" said Surya Sunarya, coordinator of the protesters<br>\nand chairman of Traditional Public Transportation here.<\/p>\n<p>He said that previously there were only 500 pedicabs and now<br>\nthey have increased three fold.<\/p>\n<p>\"Now from 700 horse carts, there are only 300 left,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The horse cart drivers ended up marching their way along major<br>\nstreets here such as Jl.
