Hooligans invade Jakarta<\/p>\n
Traditionally the most popular sports in the country, the
\nnational soccer league matches have always attracted fanatics.<\/p>\n
This week, as the quarterfinal rounds of the Djarum Soccer
\nLeague takes place in Jakarta's Bung Karno Sports Complex in
\nSenayan, thousands of hooligans from Central Java, East Java,
\nSouth Sulawesi and Jakarta swarmed the capital.<\/p>\n
As their four teams -- PSM Makassar, Persebaya Surabaya, PSIS
\nSemarang and Persija Jakarta -- are fighting it out on the field,
\nyoungsters from the four cities created another battlefield near
\nthe sports complex.<\/p>\n
Most of them headed to Jakarta with barely any money. More
\noften than not that they end up committing crimes and causing
\nunrest in the city.<\/p>\n
