"summary": "Honda has reported its first annual loss since its stock market listing in 1957, attributed to restructuring costs related to its electric vehicle (EV) business. The company recorded an operating loss of 414.3 billion yen, a significant decline from the previous year's profit, and anticipates further expenses for its EV ventures in the upcoming fiscal year. Despite this setback, Honda remains optimistic about returning to profitability through cost-cutting measures and strong motorcycle sales, leading to a revised EV sales target for 2030 and a postponement of a major EV project in Canada.",
