        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2013 PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has started\ndelivering the first 20 Honda Prelude units to consumers in Indonesia.\nThe hybrid sports car handover occurred at a ceremonial event held at\nthe Vault Automotive Museum in South Jakarta on Saturday, 23 May 2026.\nThis delivery marks the beginning of distributing the latest-generation\nHonda Prelude in the domestic market.<\/p>\n<p>Yusak Billy, HPM\u2019s Sales &amp; Marketing and After Sales Director,\nstated that current Honda Prelude orders have reached 287 units. \u201cWe\ncurrently have 287 orders,\u201d Billy said in Jakarta last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Billy explained that high consumer demand prompted the company to\nrepeatedly request additional allocations from Honda Motor Japan. \u201cOur\ninitial quota for this year was 40 units, but as they sold out\nimmediately, we requested an additional 100, which was granted. As\norders continued to rise beyond 200 units, we asked for another 50\nunits,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year\u2019s allocated quota for Indonesia is 150 units, which we\nplan to complete by October 2026,\u201d Billy added. \u201cWhile the total orders\nstand at 287 units this year, only 150 will be fulfilled in 2026; the\nremaining 137 units will be delivered next year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Honda Prelude features an e:HEV hybrid system combining a\n2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor. It also boasts a sporty\ntwo-door coupe design, a hallmark of the Prelude since its early\ngenerations.<\/p>\n<p>High order numbers indicate growing consumer interest in premium\nelectrified sports cars in the Indonesian market.<\/p>",
