Or are there<br>\nmore of us out there?<\/p>\n<p>In the past two years the service has deteriorated so much<br>\nuntil now it is nonexistent.<\/p>\n<p>Try calling their number and you end up with Qantas and into<br>\nthe loop of \"press number 2 for English or number 1 for<br>\nIndonesian\". Press what you like but after 20 minutes you are<br>\nstill nowhere. What happened to the efficient young ladies who<br>\ncould always find you a booking?<\/p>\n<p>What happened, too, to my booking made back in July, to get me<br>\nhome for the Christmas break and the millennium? It vanished<br>\nwithout so much as a note from British Airways. They changed it<br>\nto go via Singapore and changed the carrier.<\/p>\n<p>The final straw came with the new prices, the almost monopoly<br>\nposition has meant they can about double their prices for a<br>\nlesser service.<\/p>\n<p>British Airways should realize, service means more than a bit<br>\nof paint on your tail. Try TV screens in all seats, a service<br>\nprovided by Asian carriers for a few years.<\/p>\n<p>British Airways will be getting a Christmas present from me<br>\nthis year, my frequent fliers card, returned unused.<\/p>\n<p>JOHN T.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta<\/p>",
