        "content": "<p>Aceh Tamiang, Aceh \u2014 Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian held an\niftar gathering with Aceh Tamiang evacuees who have been residing in\ntemporary shelters (huntara) in Karang Baru, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday we held our first iftar together on the first day of Ramadan \u2014\nthe government\u2019s version, of course,\u201d said Tito at the iftar event with\nthe Aceh Tamiang community in Karang Baru on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Tito urged the community to be grateful for the shared iftar,\nparticularly in the aftermath of the flash floods that struck Aceh\nTamiang at the end of November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the previous disaster, one of the most severely affected\nareas was Aceh Tamiang. We are still working hard to restore the area,\nand God willing, it will be even better,\u201d Tito said.<\/p>\n<p>The minister cited road conditions, electricity, internet\nconnectivity, as well as the resumption of activity at markets and shops\nas key indicators of the area\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything is becoming visible, but it is not yet complete. There is\nstill much we want to accomplish,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The iftar meal was prepared by military personnel from Kodim\n0117\/Aceh Tamiang. Soldiers cooked 2,500 portions of kuah beulangong, a\ntraditional Acehnese dish, for the inaugural iftar at the temporary\nshelters in Karang Baru.<\/p>\n<p>Kodim 0117\/Aceh Tamiang Commander Lieutenant Colonel Subhi Fitra Jaya\nsaid the kuah beulangong menu was chosen because it is considered a\nspecial delicacy for the Acehnese people.<\/p>\n<p>Kuah beulangong is a traditional Acehnese curry made from goat or\nbeef, cooked with young jackfruit in a large cauldron (beulangong) over\nfirewood.<\/p>\n<p>Subhi said at least 180 kilogrammes of meat had been prepared for the\ndish, with around 30 military personnel deployed to organise the\nevent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis feast is for everyone in this complex, approximately 600\nhouseholds. The iftar menu is also shared with the surrounding community\n\u2014 it is not only for those in the temporary shelters who can join here,\u201d\nSubhi said.<\/p>",
