        "content": "<p>The distribution of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme for\nstudents has resumed after being halted for approximately the last two\nweeks due to the school holiday period. The National Nutrition Agency\n(BGN) has confirmed improvements to the nutritional quality of the\nprogramme, which was relaunched at the start of this week following the\nschool break. This was stated by BGN Deputy Head Trenggono during an\ninspection of the MBG programme at several schools and Nutritional\nFulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in the Central Jakarta area on Monday\n(14\/7). He assured that the BGN is working to ensure the programme\u2019s\nimplementation meets standards, from menu quality and food safety to the\ndistribution process. Trenggono also highlighted the programme\u2019s local\neconomic impact. He stated that the MBG programme is not only oriented\ntowards meeting children\u2019s nutritional needs but is also expected to\ncreate a sustainable economic impact for the community. Therefore, the\nprovision of raw materials must prioritise local food potential and\ninvolve businesses around the programme\u2019s implementation areas. \u201cThe MBG\nprogramme must become a driver of the local food ecosystem. We need to\nutilise quality local fruits, reduce dependence on factory-produced raw\nmaterials, and prioritise supplies from MSMEs,\u201d he said. Separately, BGN\nDeputy Head Agustina Arumsari explained that the distribution pause\nduring the school holidays was used to reorganise and improve the\nprogramme to enhance service quality for all beneficiaries. She noted\nthat various improvements have been made to ensure the distribution of\nMBG runs well after the adjustment period, with the goal of optimising\nthe programme\u2019s benefits.
