        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA\/JACX) \u2013 A Facebook post has displayed a photo of\nseveral red banknotes with a denomination of Rp5,000,000, or five\nmillion rupiah.<\/p>\n<p>The banknote features an image of the first President of the Republic\nof Indonesia, Soekarno, and was claimed to be a new denomination of\ncurrency.<\/p>\n<p>The post was accompanied by the following narrative:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMasyaallah, new denomination, one sheet worth 5 million. If you lose\njust one sheet, we\u2019d be crying and rolling around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, has Bank Indonesia really issued a Rp5 million banknote?<\/p>\n<p>Explanation:<\/p>\n<p>Based on our investigation, Bank Indonesia has never issued rupiah\nbanknotes with a denomination of Rp5 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bank Indonesia\u2019s official website, the rupiah banknote\ndenominations currently in circulation consist only of Rp100,000,\nRp50,000, Rp20,000, Rp10,000, Rp5,000, Rp2,000, and Rp1,000. There is no\nbanknote denomination of Rp5,000,000.<\/p>\n<p>ANTARA also used the AI Detector Hive Moderation tool to examine the\nimage in the post.
