At the Huawei Network Summit 2026 in Cairo, Huawei and various industry associations unveiled the "Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Technical White Paper," introducing four key pillars of campus network security: connectivity, assets, spatial, and privacy. This white paper outlines a comprehensive layered protection architecture, shifting from single-point defences to proactive, intelligent awareness in AI-based networks, with practical solutions like Wi-Fi Shield for data interception prevention and iGuard for hidden camera detection. The initiative aims to foster secure and intelligent campus networks through ongoing collaboration across sectors.

Cairo, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - At the Huawei Network Summit 2026 (HNS
2026) recently held in Cairo, Huawei, together with several industry
associations, launched the “Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus
Technical White Paper”.

For the first time, this report (white paper) introduces the four
main pillars in campus network security, namely connectivity, assets,
spatial, and privacy. With these four pillars, stakeholders can build a
comprehensive security architecture with layered protection systems.
This approach marks a new era in AI-based campus network
security—shifting from single-point defence to comprehensive awareness
and proactive intelligent protection.

The report also presents a systematic approach to building an
integrated technology security architecture, as well as the world’s
first complete framework for campus network security.

“Security is the primary foundation in AI-based campus networks,”
said Ricky Zhu, Vice President, Campus Network Domain, Huawei Data
Communication Product Line. “By integrating the digital and physical
realms, Huawei delivers a layered protection system across all
aspects—connectivity, assets, space, and privacy. This approach shifts
security systems from reactive defence to proactive awareness and
intelligent protection.”

Key advantages from the four main dimensions of campus network
security:

Connectivity Security: From the wireless network side, Huawei’s
Wi-Fi Shield technology eliminates the risk of data packet eavesdropping
at the physical layer. From the wired network side, the combination of
integrated MACsec and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) provides long-term
protection for data transmission, including in the quantum computing
era.

Asset Security: The increasing prevalence of dumb terminals in
government and finance sectors heightens the risk of network attacks.
Huawei’s solution uses cluster-based identification technology to
recognise these devices with up to 95% accuracy. Equipped with device
behaviour anomaly detection and local analysis on switches, the system
can detect traffic anomalies in seconds and block them proactively to
prevent network intrusions and lateral movement. This results in
visibility and control of terminals free from unauthorised access and
network identity spoofing.

Spatial Security: Huawei’s Wi-Fi channel state information (CSI)
technology can detect spatial security conditions through a single
wireless access point (AP), thereby preventing unauthorised access to
sensitive areas. This technology analyses signal interference patterns
without accessing personal data to protect user privacy.

Privacy Security: In meeting rooms, hotel rooms, or other
sensitive areas, conventional methods for detecting hidden cameras are
often ineffective. Huawei introduces the iGuard AP to detect hidden
cameras with three main advantages: comprehensive detection coverage,
high accuracy, and 24-hour monitoring, to protect business
confidentiality and personal privacy.

In the future, Huawei will continue to collaborate with customers and
industry associations to implement the key technical indicators from
this report across various sectors. This step can drive the sustainable
development of secure and intelligent campus networks.

For more information on this report:
https://e.huawei.com/en/documents/products/enterprise-network/c1d4f9aa8b514ac188db924a0cb237dd.

SOURCE Huawei
",
