        "content": "<p>HK, RI set up fishing firm<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT Minasanega Perkasa and Giant Enterprises<br>\nLimited of Hong Kong have agreed to establish a joint-venture<br>\ncompany to engage in fishing in Indonesia&apos;s Exclusive Economic<br>\nZone.<\/p>\n<p>Under an agreement signed on Monday evening by Minasenaga&apos;s<br>\ndirector, M. Ng. Abiyoso, and Giant Enterprise&apos;s president, Liu<br>\nChaoying, the joint venture will invest in fishing vessels,<br>\nmachinery and other equipment.<\/p>\n<p>In the first phase of the plan, the new company will procure<br>\nfish from local fishermen.<\/p>\n<p>Abiyoso said the joint venture will also establish a shipyard<br>\nto produce wooden fishing vessels.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Fishermen, Tuk<br>\nSetyohadi, who witnessed the signing of the agreement, said that<br>\nthe operation of the planned joint venture is expected to help<br>\nmake fuller use of the country&apos;s Exclusive Economic Zone, which<br>\ncovers an area of 5.7 million square kilometers.
