Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Central Board of the Indonesian Young
Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI) is pushing for ease, transparency,
and accurate targeting for young entrepreneurs and MSMEs across
Indonesia through access to the People’s Business Credit (KUR)
scheme.

“HIPMI views financing access as one of the key factors enabling
entrepreneurs to grow their businesses, increase production capacity,
and create jobs,” said BPP HIPMI Chairman Ade Jona Prasetyo in a
confirmed statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said KUR is one of the government’s strategic instruments for
expanding financing access for the business world. Therefore, its
implementation needs to be continuously strengthened so that the
benefits of KUR are felt more widely by entrepreneurs with growth
potential.

He stressed that KUR must serve as a stepping stone for entrepreneurs
to move up a level. Many young entrepreneurs have businesses and markets
that are continuously growing, but expanding capacity certainly requires
adequate access to financing.

“When their businesses grow, the jobs they create will also
increase,” said Ade.

According to him, the principle of prudence in disbursing financing
remains important. At the same time, however, entrepreneurs also need
information about KUR requirements, processes, and mechanisms that are
easier to understand.

To that end, HIPMI is preparing a KUR aspiration and mentoring
channel that can reach young entrepreneurs through HIPMI’s networks in
various regions. This channel will become a space for entrepreneurs to
share their experiences, suggestions, and obstacles encountered in the
process of accessing KUR financing.

“HIPMI has an entrepreneur network reaching down to the regions. We
want to hear directly what they experience when accessing financing. If
the problem is business readiness or administration, we will help guide
them,” he said.

He emphasised that if there are issues requiring communication with
the relevant parties, HIPMI is ready to act as a bridge.

He ensured that every piece of feedback received will be reviewed and
mapped out so that it does not stop at being an individual report.

HIPMI, Ade continued, wants to see whether there are recurring
problems across various regions and to turn them into constructive input
for strengthening the KUR ecosystem.

Ade stressed that this step is not about finding fault with the
government or disbursing institutions. On the contrary, HIPMI wants to
strengthen collaboration between the government, banking, and the
business world so that financing programmes become increasingly
effective.

“The spirit is to find solutions together. The government has
provided support through KUR, financial institutions carry out
disbursement under the principle of prudence, while HIPMI can help with
the readiness and experience of entrepreneurs on the ground,” he
explained.

Going forward, HIPMI also wants to push for financing access to
better follow a business’s growth journey.

According to Ade, Indonesia’s challenge is not only to spawn as many
new entrepreneurs as possible, but also to ensure that entrepreneurs who
have already grown have the opportunity to develop into larger
companies.

“The more entrepreneurs move up a level, the greater the economic
capacity we build. They will open new businesses, expand production,
absorb labour, and create added value,” said Ade.

“That is what HIPMI wants to push together with the government and
the entire financing ecosystem,” Ade added.
",
