The West Java regional board of the Association of Indonesian Early\nChildhood Educators and Education Personnel (Himpaudi) is urging the\nIndramayu Regency Government to immediately disburse incentives for PAUD\nteachers. This comes despite reports that the incentive funds have\nalready been allocated through the 2026 Fiscal Year Regional Budget\n(APBD).<\/p>\n
The Chairperson of Himpaudi West Java, Widiasih Yogasara, explained\nthat the incentive budget for PAUD teachers represents the local\ngovernment\u2019s commitment to early childhood education. Consequently, she\nexpressed deep concern regarding the current situation faced by PAUD\nteachers in Indramayu Regency.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have heard that the budget for Himpaudi Indramayu Regency has not\nyet been disbursed. We are concerned,\u201d said Widiasih on Friday\n(18\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Widiasih, almost all regencies and cities in West Java\nhave already allocated these funds. She expressed her appreciation to\nregional heads who have successfully disbursed the budget.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo the Regents and Mayors in West Java who have allocated and\ndisbursed the incentive budget, we offer our thanks. This is a form of\nrespect to PAUD teachers, who are an inseparable part of our national\neducation system,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n
Widiasih added that her organisation continues to fight for the\nwelfare of PAUD teachers, especially as they are not yet officially\nrecognised as teachers under the National Education System Law (UU\nSisdiknas). \u201cWe are constantly fighting for the fate of these PAUD\nteachers so that they are on par with other teachers. This means the UU\nSisdiknas must be submitted for review,\u201d Widiasih said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of Himpaudi Indramayu Regency, Umiyati,\nconfirmed that all PAUD teachers affiliated with Himpaudi Indramayu have\nyet to receive their allocated incentive budget. This is despite the\nfact that the budget was previously agreed upon between the executive\nand legislative branches.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe from Himpaudi have consulted with both the legislative and\nexecutive branches regarding the budget. However, we are constantly\nbeing passed back and forth, leading to a state of uncertainty,\u201d\nexplained Umyati.<\/p>\n
Umyati noted that compared to other regencies and cities in West\nJava, only PAUD teachers in Indramayu Regency have not received these\nincentives, despite the funds being desperately needed. \u201cIt is\ndistressing.
