        "content": "<p>HIH enters RI market<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Australian company HIH Insurance<br>\nGroup has entered the Indonesian insurance market through joint<br>\nventure company PT Asuransi Hastin FAI.<\/p>\n<p>HIH Insurance Group said here on Friday the joint venture&apos;s<br>\noperation had been approved by the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>HIH Insurance Group expected it would become the majority<br>\nshareholder in the newly established Hastin FAI, a general<br>\ninsurance company offering commercial and individual insurance<br>\nproducts, Hastin FAI said in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The joint venture company, which is also partly owned by local<br>\ncompanies PT Mitra Millennium Utama, PT Megatama Tata Bersama and<br>\nPT Puri Dana Mandiri, plans to increase its paid-up capital from<br>\nRp 15 billion (about US$2 million) to Rp 22 billion in the coming<br>\nmonths.<\/p>\n<p>HIH Insurance Group has operations in the United States, the<br>\nUnited Kingdom, New Zealand, Argentina, Hong Kong, China,<br>\nMalaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
