Universities bear the responsibility of opening up\nopportunities for young people to obtain quality education.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst the intense competition for university entry via the 2026\nNational Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), Universitas Mercu Buana (UMB)\nhas reopened its SNBT Scholarship programme for new students in the\n2026\/2027 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Rector for Resources at UMB, Prof Rizki Briandana, stated the\ninitiative is part of the university\u2019s effort to broaden access to\nhigher education for academically promising and high-achieving\nIndonesian youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This SNBT Scholarship programme reflects our commitment to\nsupporting educational access and developing Indonesia\u2019s human\nresources,\u2019 said Rizki in Jakarta on Saturday (30 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He noted that increasingly competitive job markets require\nuniversities to produce graduates who are not only academically strong\nbut also adaptable, critically thinking, and globally aware.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, alongside various scholarship schemes, UMB continues to\ndevelop learning programmes aligned with industry needs and\ninternational developments. \u2018This includes international programmes and\njoint degrees that offer students cross-border academic experiences,\u2019\nRizki added.<\/p>\n<p>Rizki believes students today need a learning environment that\nintegrates academic competencies, professional skills, and global\nexperiences to prepare for a dynamic job market. \u2018We aim to ensure\nstudents receive quality education while also having opportunities to\ngrow through programmes relevant to future needs,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>UMB, which recently achieved Excellent accreditation, offers diploma,\nundergraduate, master\u2019s, and doctoral programmes. \u2018We actively encourage\nstudents to participate in national and international competitions,\nresearch, innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development,\u2019\nhe explained.<\/p>\n<p>Rizki added that prospective students interested in the SNBT\nScholarship can apply online via the official website or through\nWhatsApp at 0811-9852-020.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018For SNBT candidates still seeking higher education alternatives,\nthis scholarship provides a chance to continue studies with financial\nsupport and access to various competency development and international\nexperience programmes,\u2019 he concluded.<\/p>",
