        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology\n(Kemdiktisaintek) together with the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas)\nRI is exploring potential cooperation to expand access to higher\neducation through scholarship programmes, community empowerment, and\nresearch collaboration. Minister of Higher Education, Science, and\nTechnology Brian Yuliarto expressed appreciation for Baznas\u2019s commitment\nto supporting educational development. Kemdiktisaintek and Baznas are\nexpected to build synergy in line with the direction of President of the\nRepublic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, particularly in increasing the\nGross Tertiary Enrolment Ratio (APK PT) through various education\nfinancing and human resource development programmes. \u201cWe hope there will\nbe collaboration that can run synergistically with the President\u2019s\ndirection to increase the participation rate of Indonesian students and\nadvance Indonesia\u2019s higher education,\u201d said Brian on Friday (19\/6). On\nthat occasion, Chairman of Baznas RI Sodik Mudjahid stated that\neducation is one of his institution\u2019s main priorities. This year, Baznas\nis promoting education programmes through the Distribution, Utilisation,\nand Empowerment Division, with a policy direction that now places\ngreater emphasis on community empowerment rather than consumptive aid.\n\u201cOur commitment to education is very high, and in our priority list, we\nstate that we will carry out distribution and empowerment that is fair,\nproportional, and impactful. We strongly support and want to allocate\noptimal funds for Indonesia\u2019s future,\u201d Sodik asserted. Meanwhile, Baznas\nHead of Distribution, Utilisation, and Empowerment, Idy Muzayyad,\noutlined a draft programme for providing master\u2019s scholarships for\nPalestinian students to continue their studies in Indonesia. \u201cWe want to\nencourage foreign students to also study in Indonesia. This can also\nimprove the index of higher education institutions in Indonesia. By\nfocusing on the master\u2019s level, Palestinian human resources will also be\nready to rebuild,\u201d said Idy Muzayyad. Both parties also discussed\ncollaboration opportunities in community empowerment programmes,\ndomestic scholarships, and research. The Minister offered student\ninvolvement through Thematic Community Service Programmes (KKN Tematik)\nto support various Baznas programmes in the regions, including the\ndevelopment of renewable energy, waste management, and community\nempowerment. In addition, both parties explored campus-based research\ncooperation to strengthen the impact of various empowerment programmes\nrun by Baznas. The Minister also proposed the development of partial\nscholarships for students from vulnerable families who do not yet meet\nthe criteria for recipients of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) for\nCollege.
