The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing to adjust fares for
several Transjabodetabek bus routes in the near future. Jakarta Governor
Pramono Anung Wibowo has confirmed that this policy will be implemented
starting this month.

This price rationalisation step is being taken due to the high
subsidy burden currently being borne by the Jakarta Provincial
Government. One of the primary focuses is the SH2 route, which serves
travel from Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta).
This route was officially launched on 12 March 2026.

Since its initial launch, Pramono has targeted a review and
reformulation of the service’s fare structure once it has operated
stably for a period of three months. Following through with this plan,
the local government projects that ticket prices for the airport route
will be set in the range of Rp10,000 to Rp15,000 in the future.

“Regarding the fare for the Transjabodetabek Blok M-Soekarno Hatta
route, we will decide shortly,” said Pramono Anung in East Jakarta on
Friday (5/6).

“In the coming months, we will decide on several routes, not just
Blok M to Soekarmata-Hatta, but also other Transjabodetabek routes that
require adjustment,” Pramono explained.

However, the former Cabinet Secretary has not yet disclosed the
specific list of other routes that will undergo ticket price changes.
The decision to review the fares is heavily driven by the significant
operational costs required to maintain airport service standards.

“First, because this is a long route, the buses are new and
specialised for this purpose, so there are costs that must be incurred.
Additionally, at Terminals 1, 2, and 3, bus parking is certainly not
free; there are costs that must be covered,” Pramono emphasised.
",
