Dudung Abdurachman on an inspection of a layer farm\nowned by PT Banyuasin Mukut Inti in Banyuasin Regency. During the visit,\nhe observed first-hand the farm\u2019s operations, which are supported by\nmodern housing and a substantial production capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Herman Deru stated that the visit was part of efforts to ensure the\nreadiness of the regional livestock sector and egg stocks in South\nSumatra to support the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme. He\nemphasised that the programme must not disrupt the supply of eggs for\nhousehold needs.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the farm is capable of producing approximately 16\nto 20 tonnes of eggs per day. With this production capacity, the\navailability of eggs to support the implementation of the MBG Programme\nis expected to be met while maintaining the community\u2019s own egg\nrequirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the large stock of eggs produced from this modern facility, it\ncan accommodate 16 to 20 tonnes per day. Thus, the availability of eggs\nfor the MBG will not disrupt other household needs,\u201d Herman Deru said in\na statement on Thursday (13\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Herman Deru noted that PT Banyuasin Mukut Inti is one of the largest\nlayer farms in South Sumatra. The farm\u2019s existence is considered to play\nan important role in strengthening food availability, particularly the\negg commodity, in the region.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the development of the farm has received attention from\nthe regional government for several years. In 2022, Herman Deru\ninaugurated the PT Banyuasin Mukut Inti layer farm and factory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is one of the layer farms in South Sumatra. We inaugurated it\nin 2022 and today we see its development; its production is quite\nlarge,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Herman Deru expressed hope that the modern farm will continue to be\ndeveloped so it can meet the needs of the community while strengthening\nsupport for various government programmes, including the MBG Programme\ninitiated by President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n<p>He also assessed that the development of large-scale farms has a\npositive impact on the regional economy, including through job creation\nand strengthening the food supply chain in South Sumatra.<\/p>",
