Tapera Management\nBody Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho explained that mortgage access is\nbecoming wider because the public\u2019s ability and opportunity to pay\ncredit will improve. \u2018The longer the instalment period, the lighter the\nmonthly payments. As a result, people who previously did not meet the\nbanking sector\u2019s repayment capacity requirements have a greater chance\nof obtaining a subsidised home,\u2019 Heru said in a statement in Jakarta,\ncited on Thursday, 25 June 2026. With a longer repayment period,\nsubsidised home instalments are expected to become much lighter, at\naround Rp500,000 to Rp700,000 per month. This scheme is expected to help\nmore people, including those earning around Rp2.8 million per month, to\nown their first home. Previously, Minister of Housing and Settlement\nAreas Maruarar Sirait stated that the subsidised mortgage scheme with a\ntenor of up to 40 years had been agreed upon and was ready to be\nimplemented.
