        "content": "<p>Helicopter crash victims get heroes&apos; funerals<\/p>\n<p>Syofiardi Bachyul Jb, The Jakarta Post, Padang, West Sumatra<\/p>\n<p>Five West Sumatra police officers and a journalist who were<br>\nkilled in a helicopter crash on Thursday were sent home on Sunday<br>\nfor burial, shortly after rescuers completed evacuation of the<br>\nbodies.<\/p>\n<p>Sr. Comr. Harison Harmainy, the provincial police chief of<br>\ndetectives, was buried at the Heroes Cemetery in the West Sumatra<br>\ncapital of Padang on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The bodies of Sr. Comr. Bambang Irawan, the police&apos;s director<br>\nof intelligence and security division, and pilot Comr. Donny<br>\nHardono were flown to the West Java capital of Bandung and<br>\nTangerang in Banten respectively. Bambang will be buried in<br>\nSukabumi Heroes Cemetery, while Donny will be laid to rest in the<br>\nCikutra Heroes Cemetery in Bandung.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike the other victims, the bodies of Adj. Comr. Jurnalis<br>\nJohor, Second Brig. Welly Permana and Singgalang reporter Erman<br>\nTasrial will be buried in public cemeteries in their respective<br>\nhometowns of Payakumbuh in West Sumatra, Kerinci in Jambi and<br>\nAgam in West Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy West Sumatra Police chief Sr. Comr. Ade Raharja<br>\nofficially sent off the bodies of the officers after a ceremony<br>\nto pay their last respects to them at provincial police&apos;s<br>\nheadquarters.<\/p>\n<p>The body of Erman was laid out at the office the Singgalang<br>\nnewspaper on Jl. Veteran. Many journalists and executives of the<br>\nprovincial chapter of the Association of Indonesian Journalists<br>\n(PWI) came to pay their respects.<\/p>\n<p>Rescuers completed their evacuation at around 10:00 a.m. on<br>\nSunday after struggling over the difficult terrain of the Dr.<br>\nMohammad Hatta National Park. It took them 10 hours to complete<br>\nthe evacuation.<\/p>\n<p>The MI-2 helicopter crashed on Thursday amid heavy rain in the<br>\nnational park situated some 20 kilometers from Padang. Police are<br>\nstill investigating the cause of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>The officers were on their way to Padang after inspecting a<br>\nforest fire in Solok regency.<\/p>\n<p>Co-pilot Second Insp. Asep survived the crash after he jumped<br>\nthrough the helicopter&apos;s door before it fell. Asep is still<br>\nundergoing treatment at Dr. M. Djamil Hospital in Padang due to<br>\nsevere knee injuries.<\/p>",
