He added that\ncountries in the region are considered capable of hosting them.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I think it\u2019s safe to say there are no plans to accept a new wave of\nrefugees from the Middle East into the United States, because President\nDonald Trump has long shown that there are many countries in the region\nthat could provide such support if needed,\u2019 Hegseth told reporters on\nThursday (5 March).<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday (28 February), the United States and Israel launched a\nseries of strikes against several targets in Iran, including in Tehran,\ncausing damage and civilian casualties. Iran then launched retaliatory\nmissile attacks on Israeli territory and on US military facilities in\nthe Middle East.<\/p>",
