Material losses are estimated at Rp 100
million,” he said.

Based on detikBali’s observation at the location, piles of rubble
were still visible on the front side of the gate building. In addition
to the main gate, no other temple buildings were affected by the heavy
rain.

The atmosphere inside the temple also looked deserted. There were no
residents praying at the location. Suardita said that the cleanup of the
remaining building debris would continue tomorrow with the help of local
residents.

In addition to damaging the temple building, the heavy rain also
caused four trees to fall in the Ubud sub-district.

Information from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency
(BMKG) Denpasar states that the fallen trees occurred in Mas village,
Tulikup village, Sumita village, and Sukawati village.

There were no casualties in the incident. The four fallen trees have
now been cleared.

Previously, a retaining wall at the Kelembu temple, part of the Taman
Pule temple complex, on Jalan Tegal Tajun, Mas village, Ubud
sub-district, Gianyar Regency, collapsed due to a landslide. The
incident damaged three buildings within the temple area, with total
losses estimated at Rp 600 million.

From east to west of the temple area, the three buildings that were
hit by the retaining wall were a building for ceremonies and offerings,
a bale gong (a place to store gamelan instruments), and a building to
store offerings.

The building for ceremonies suffered the most damage.
