Health, women's groups cooperate<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Soroptimist International of Jakarta is meeting
\ntoday to discuss \"Supporting Community Participation Programs of
\nthe Ministry of Health\".<\/p>\n
Especially invited guests from health organizations and
\ninternational women's groups will be attending the meeting at
\nPuri Ayu Martha Tilaar in the Indo Rama Building.<\/p>\n
This presentation on how to assist existing health programs is
\namong the many social welfare activities carried out by Jakarta
\nSoroptomists International, a branch of the world's largest
\nwomen's community service organization, Soroptomist
\nInternational.<\/p>\n
Soroptomist International of Jakarta was chartered in 1992, by
\n25 founding members from various professional backgrounds, as a
\npart of the international organization which has over 100,000
\nmembers in 111 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n
The Jakarta branch assists in community programs in six
\nsectors. It is active in promoting and supporting economic and
\nsocial development, education, the environment, health, human
\nrights and status of women, as well as international goodwill and
\nunderstanding.<\/p>\n
