Central Java province has once again received appreciation from the\nMinistry of Health regarding the achievements of the Free Health Check\n(CKG) programme in its region. As the province with the highest CKG\nparticipation rate nationally, Central Java can serve as a role model\nfor public health education.<\/p>\n
The appreciation was conveyed by the Deputy Minister of Health,\nBenjamin Paulus Octavian\/anus, during a working meeting with Commission\nIX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) broadcast via the\nTVR Parlemen YouTube channel on Tuesday, 9 June 2026.<\/p>\n
He stated that the CKG programme has reached nearly 42.3 million\nresidents across 38 provinces. Out of a total of 43,660,900 registrants,\nthe number of people who attended and were served reached\n42,291,657.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have noted that the highest number remains in Central Java. This\nmeans that health education for the community in Central Java is already\nquite good, as more than 10 million people have been served,\u201d said\nBenjamin, as quoted on Thursday (11\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Benjamin then compared the success of Central Java with other large\nprovinces on Java Island, noting that East Java trailed by 6.8 million\npeople and West Java by 5.2 million people.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis means that the CKG programme is running well in Central Java,\u201d\nhe stated.<\/p>\n
Separately, the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, expressed\nfull commitment to supporting the CKG programme. This commitment is\nrealised through the Mobile Specialist Doctor (Speling) programme.<\/p>\n
\u2018Speling\u2019 is one of the priority programmes of Governor Ahmad Luthfi\nand Deputy Governor Taj Yasin Maimoen to provide free health services to\nthe community by deploying specialist doctors to remote villages. In its\nimplementation, it is also integrated with the CKG programme.<\/p>\n
The Speling programme involves all hospitals in Central Java,\nincluding provincial and regency\/city-owned regional hospitals (RSUD).\nFurthermore, the Central Java Provincial Government is also\ncollaborating with private hospitals to deploy their specialists to\nparticipate in the Speling programme.<\/p>\n
The Speling programme provides general health examinations, followed\nby specific disease screenings conducted by specialists. This includes\nscreenings for tuberculosis (TB), cervical cancer, routine antenatal\ncare (ANC) for pregnant women, and free examinations for persons with\ndisabilities. There are even mental health examinations conducted by\npsychiatrists.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndirectly, specialists can detect and anticipate diseases at an\nearly stage. These services are provided free of charge. We will\ncontinue to do this and make it a role model for village-based\nhealthcare services,\u201d he said in Semarang on Wednesday (10\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to data from the Central Java Health Office as of 10 June\n2026, the Speling programme has been implemented 1,249 times across\n1,138 villages spread over 454 sub-districts.
