        "content": "<p>Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has expressed appreciation for\nthe improvements in facilities and infrastructure carried out by the\nMinistry of Transportation. According to him, this has had an impact on\nthe number of mudik accidents, which have dropped dramatically in the\nlast three years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, thank you to the Minister of Transportation for\nsignificantly improving the facilities and infrastructure, the roads,\nbuses, sea vessels, procedures, and so on, so that the number of\naccidents in the last three years has decreased dramatically,\u201d Budi said\nat Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, on Wednesday (18\/3), as quoted by\nDetiknews.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to thanking Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, Budi\nalso expressed gratitude to National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit\nPrabowo for the Polri Presisi Free Mudik Programme 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Through this programme, 4,009 mudik participants were transported\nusing more than 80 bus units prepared for various destinations on Java\nisland, particularly Central Java and the Special Region of\nYogyakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Budi stated that all drivers transporting the mudik participants have\nundergone health checks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, thank you to the National Police Chief for facilitating so that\nour society can mudik and also stay healthy during mudik because I saw\nthat their health was checked, and they are all generally healthy,\u201d Budi\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to Budi, health issues are the factor that most affects\naccidents. He hopes that people travelling for mudik can remain healthy\non the way home, during mudik, including upon returning after mudik.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere do accidents happen? They used to happen on toll roads, but\nalhamdulillah, now with the help of the National Police Chief and the\nTransport Minister, all drivers have had their health checked. If there\nis high blood pressure, sugar, or those using narcotics, we screen them\nfirst,\u201d Budi added.<\/p>\n<p>Budi continued that the number of accidents on toll roads has dropped\nsignificantly, but now arterial roads are a concern, especially because\nmany mudik travellers use motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, that control really needs the help of journalists, educating the\npublic so that they are more careful,\u201d Budi said.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged mudik travellers to be more careful and to stop briefly\nafter 2-3 hours of travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Transport Minister has provided mosques as rest areas on\narterial routes.
