The Head of the Special Development Control and Investigation Agency (Bappisus), Aris Marsudiyanto, has clarified that the Indonesian Association of Entrepreneurs and Managers of Free Nutritious Meals Kitchens (APPMBGI) operates without any government funding and is entirely non-governmental, welcoming its active role in overseeing the programme. APPMBGI, led by Abdul Rivai Ras, serves as a platform for stakeholders to ensure compliance with national nutrition standards, provide education, supervision, and constructive criticism for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) initiative, a flagship project under President Prabowo Subianto aimed at achieving Golden Indonesia 2045. The association maintains its independence, funding operations through member contributions without seeking government perks like electric motorcycles for MBG activities.

The Head of the Special Development Control and Investigation Agency
(Bappisus), Aris Marsudiyanto, stated that the Indonesian Association of
Entrepreneurs and Managers of Free Nutritious Meals Kitchens (APPMBGI)
does not receive any funding from the government. Aris emphasised that
the association is purely non-governmental.

“I don’t think there is any (funding from the government), because
this is purely non-government. I think everything comes from the
association itself, and we welcome this because all stakeholders are
actively and constructively monitoring rather than just criticising
without taking real action. We appreciate that,” said Aris Marsudiyanto
to reporters at the APPMBGI National Summit in East Jakarta on Saturday
(25/4/2026).

The Chairman of APPMBGI, Abdul Rivai Ras, said the association is a
gathering place for entrepreneurs, supporters, and owners of Free
Nutritious Meals (MBG) kitchens. Abdul stated that APPMBGI plays a role
in providing education, monitoring, supervision, and guidance to ensure
that the distributed MBG meets the standards of the National Nutrition
Agency (BGN).

“They unite, meet, and interact within one association platform,
particularly to address the supply chain. Secondly, APPMBGI was born to
advocate for the sustainability of free nutritious meals. Therefore,
APPMBGI has a role in conducting supervision, providing education, and
socialising regulations,” said Abdul Rivai.

“Including how to provide advocacy to them so that their MBG or SPPG
meets the standards and certification as required,” he added.

Abdul said APPMBGI will also provide constructive criticism for
improvements related to the MBG programme. Moreover, he noted that the
MBG programme is still relatively young.

“Therefore, this association is also escorting the national policy of
the government under Mr Prabowo Subianto, where this is a flagship
project towards Golden Indonesia in 2045. However, we still provide
constructive criticism for improvements on what is happening in the
field because the MBG programme is indeed still relatively young,” he
stated.

Abdul emphasised that APPMBGI is an independent association. He said
APPMBGI members will also not receive allocations of electric
motorcycles used for MBG operational activities.

“We are an independent organisation, not receiving sources from
anywhere, certainly from members for members. Like other organisations,
if there are dues, there are dues to run the organisation,” he said.
",
