Harmoko avoids fatal attraction<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Harmoko, who divides his time between his
\npositions as minister of information and chairman of Golkar, has
\nrevealed the secret of his time management -- avoid the lure of
\nwomen.<\/p>\n
\"When you reach 50, you'll come across a `fatal roundabout'
\nbecause of various temptations, particularly from women,\"
\nHarmoko, who turned 56 yesterday, told reporters who went up to
\nhim to wish him happy birthday. \"Many men cannot resist the
\ntemptation and get married for the second time in their 50s.\"<\/p>\n
\"I think it is important to keep healthy in mind and in body,
\nkeep them in balance,\" he said after briefing reporters about the
\noutcome of yesterday's cabinet meeting to discuss the economy at
\nthe Bina Graha presidential office.<\/p>\n
So how did he manage to survive the `fatal roundabout?'<\/p>\n
\"You've got enjoy whatever you do. You've got to see that
\neverything you do is in the way of Allah. Thank God, I don't hold
\nany grudges or envy. This way I don't get stressed out,\" said the
\nformer journalist who has been the official spokesman for
\nPresident Soeharto's cabinet since 1983.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that, as far as he could recall, he has not
\nmissed a single cabinet monthly meeting since his appointment.<\/p>\n
He added that most of all, he has managed to stay fit and
\nhealthy because he listens to President Soeharto's advise to
\navoid the lure of three ta's: wanita, harta and tahta (women,
\nwealth and position).<\/p>\n
If you succumbed to these three temptations, particularly to
\nwomen, the results would be fatal, said the man who hails from
