Jakarta (ANTARA) - South Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook Tire has\nintroduced the latest generation of Ventues S1 evo3, known as Ventus\nevo, as an ultra-high performance (UHP) tyre for premium and\nhigh-performance vehicles in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Globally, Ventus technology has been utilised by over 30 automotive\nmanufacturers, including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. In\nIndonesia, this technology has also been used in several racing events,\nincluding the Indonesia Sentul Series of Motorsport (ISSOM) 2024 and the\nPertamina 6 Hours Endurance 2026 in Mandalika.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe world of motorsport serves as a proving ground for\nhigh-performance tyre technology. Every development must be able to meet\nthe demands of grip, control, and stability under extremely harsh\nconditions,\u201d said Bartek Choi, President Director of PT Hankook Tire\nSales Indonesia, in a written statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough Ventus evo, we are bringing this proven technology to\npremium vehicles, allowing drivers to experience better performance,\ncontrol, and confidence in daily use,\u201d added Bartek.<\/p>\n
He explained that Ventus evo is designed with optimal braking and\nhandling on both wet and dry roads, while simultaneously offering\nincreased mileage.<\/p>\n
In two comparative tests from the AUTO BILD Summer Tire Test 2026,\nthe Ventus evo in size 245\/45 R19 achieved first place with a score of\n1.1. The tyre demonstrated performance advantages in both dry and wet\nhandling aspects, achieving the best result in dry braking and second\nbest in wet braking.<\/p>\n
Ventus evo also secured first place in the AUTO BIDL Allrad Summer\nTire Test 2026 for size 255\/45 R19. In that test, Ventus evo was the\nbest-performing tyre in wet conditions, with the fastest wet handling at\n89.1 km\/h and a wet braking distance of 50.2 metres from a speed of 100\nkm\/h. The tyre also recorded top performance in dry braking and dry\nhandling.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe two recognitions from AUTO BILD demonstrate that the Ventus evo\nis capable of providing consistent performance on both wet and dry\nroads. This tyre is designed to provide responsive braking and dynamic\nhandling, even when compared to premium tyres from other brands,\u201d Bartek\ncontinued.<\/p>\n
These advantages are reflected in the performance improvements of\nVentus evo compared to its predecessor, the Ventus S1 evo3, which\nincludes a 4 per cent increase in wet handling.<\/p>\n
On dry roads, 3D Chamfer Technology helps distribute pressure more\nevenly across the tread surface, resulting in a braking improvement of\nup to 6 per cent during dry braking compared to the previous model.<\/p>\n
Ventus evo is designed with an optimised stiffness pattern that helps\nbalance block stiffness and distribute pressure more evenly across the\nentire tread surface. A combination of sipes, lateral grooves, and\ntie-bars helps achieve more even wear.<\/p>\n
As a result, the mileage of Ventus evo has increased by up to 32 per\ncent compared to the previous version. This was also reflected in the\nAUTO BILD testing, where Ventus evo recorded a projected mileage of\n56,310 km, claiming to be the most economical tyre based on cost per\n1,000 km among 20 finalists selected from 50 initial candidates.<\/p>\n
