It has resulted in the scarcity of dollars in the money<br>\nmarket, thus pushing the fall of the rupiah&apos;s exchange rate.<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple of steps that can be taken to overcome the<br>\ncurrent trend. I would propose the following to reach stability<br>\nin the currency.<\/p>\n<p>Every exporter, company or individual who exchanged their<br>\ndollars into rupiah at officially appointed banks or money<br>\nchangers would be given a certificate.<\/p>\n<p>This would entitle the owner to buy the same amount of dollars<br>\nagainst the same rate of exchange over a certain period of time.<br>\ne.g. 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>This measure would encourage the people to exchange their<br>\ndollars into rupiah.
