Halal labels<\/p>\n

I am a Moslem student and the halal (permitted by Islam) label
\nquestion has come to my attention. I support the Indonesian
\nCouncil of Ulemas' (MUI) idea of label standardization, which
\nwould serve as a sieve sifting good material from the bad. This
\nwould be the only way, according to MUI, to ensure success and
\nwould not disappoint Moslems.<\/p>\n
We have come to the conclusion that if the label policy was
\nsuccessful, the use of one label type could be introduced which
\nwould be no problem to the public.<\/p>\n
I personally support MUI's idea that the right to produce
\nhalal labels should be given to a competent party, MUI in this
\ncase, since it is related to Islam.<\/p>\n
If seen from the context of the program of creating perfect
\nIndonesians, I believe that we are going in the right direction.
\nDevelopment and growth of a perfect people are not only based on
\na nutritious diet, but also depends on what we are permitted to
\neat. We are concerned about the future of the younger generation,
\nwho might develop into a \"degenerated\" breed, due to their
\nfailure to find halal food.<\/p>\n
We also hope that the President would agree with the
\nstandardized labeling idea for permitted food, so that the
\nIndonesian Moslem community will not be disappointed.<\/p>\n
