        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Since the start of Hajj operations on 22 April\n2026, Indonesian Hajj pilgrims have begun departing in stages via\nseveral embarkation points that have implemented the Mekkah Route\nservice.<\/p>\n<p>Pilgrims are departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport\n(Jakarta), Adi Soemarmo Airport (Solo), Juanda Airport (Surabaya), and\nSultan Hasanuddin Airport (Makassar), heading to Prince Mohammad bin\nAbdulaziz Airport in Madinah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon arrival in Madinah, pilgrims are directly directed to their\naccommodations without having to go through the immigration process\nagain,\u201d said the Indonesian Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Irfan Yusuf, in\na press statement on Friday (24\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the main advantages of the \u201cMekkah Route\u201d, designed to\nprovide maximum comfort for pilgrims from departure until arrival in the\nHoly Land.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, pilgrims\u2019 baggage has been arranged and sent directly to\ntheir accommodation in Saudi Arabia in accordance with transportation\nand accommodation arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis integrated process from Indonesia not only speeds up services\nbut also provides comfort and certainty for pilgrims upon arrival in the\nHoly Land,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The Hajj Minister said that the \u201cMekkah Route\u201d is a tangible\nmanifestation of the state\u2019s commitment to improving the quality of Hajj\nworship services for pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to ensure that every pilgrim gets a better, more orderly,\nand more humane worship experience,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey can focus more on performing their worship,\u201d said the Hajj\nMinister.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the\nRepublic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Ahmad,\nexpressed thanks to the Saudi Arabian government for the fast-track\nservice or \u201cMekkah Route\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, we thank the Saudi Arabian government which has\nenabled us to channel immigration processes quickly through the fast\ntrack, Thariq Mekkah,\u201d said Abdul Aziz, when welcoming the Jakarta\nPondok Gede (JKG) Hajj group pilgrims who arrived on the first day of\narrival, Wednesday (22\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Thus, all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims can directly head to the buses and\nbe taken to their respective hotels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor now, only half of them.
