Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Menhaj) Mochamad Irfan Yusuf has\nemphasised that preparations for the operational dispatch of Hajj\npilgrims for 1447 H\/2026 AD are running according to plan (on track) and\nhave reached nearly 100 percent progress. This was stated during a\nmeeting with officials from the East Java Provincial Office of the\nMinistry of Hajj and Umrah.<\/p>\n
Irfan stressed that this year\u2019s Hajj organisation must serve as a\nmodel of smooth, clean public service free from any deviations. Given\nthat East Java has the largest Hajj pilgrim quota in Indonesia, its role\nis considered highly strategic as a barometer of national success.<\/p>\n
\u201cOperational preparations continue to be refined, and so far, they\nare proceeding according to the established schedule. Our main focus is\nensuring the safety and security of pilgrims through comprehensive\nmitigation measures,\u201d said Irfan on Sunday (29\/3).<\/p>\n
Addressing the vast Hajj financial ecosystem amounting to Rp18\ntrillion, Irfan stated that accountability is non-negotiable.<\/p>\n
To guarantee this, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is involving\nprofessionals from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the\nProsecutor\u2019s Office, and the Police in overseeing procurement processes\nand budget management.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Hajj funds managed are enormous, so commitment to clean\ngovernance is absolute. We want to ensure that every rupiah spent truly\nreturns in the form of the best services for pilgrims,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
These strategic steps, Irfan continued, represent direct\nimplementation of the President of Indonesia\u2019s directives to deliver\ntransparent Hajj services oriented towards pilgrim satisfaction. Menhaj\nalso extended the highest appreciation to the East Java Provincial\nOffice of the Ministry of Hajj staff for their dedication in this\npreparation phase.<\/p>\n
\u201cI ask that we continue to maintain unity and elevate service\nstandards. Our focus is one: to give the best for Indonesian Hajj\npilgrims,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Menhaj Moch. Irfan Yusuf reaffirmed the government\u2019s commitment to\nstrengthening Indonesian Hajj services through four strategic\nprogrammes, namely reducing Hajj costs and reforming waiting list\npolicies.<\/p>\n
His ministry has selected 685 Hajj and Umrah Worship Guidance\nInstructors (BPIHU) to ensure the quality of ritual guidance provided to\npilgrims.<\/p>\n
Menhaj explained the reasons for training 2026 Hajj personnel in a\nsemi-military style, focusing on discipline, physical and mental\nreadiness, and challenges in the Saudi Arabian terrain.<\/p>\n
Menhaj Gus Irfan emphasised that the Hajj Village in Saudi Arabia can\nonly be partially used by 2028. Construction is now fully controlled by\nDanantara.<\/p>\n
These facilitators are tasked with ensuring all personnel have\nadequate readiness, both technically, mentally, and in understanding\nfield duties.<\/p>\n
