        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The Chairman of DPR RI Commission III, Habiburokhman, has\nappreciated the initiative by students from the University of\nIndonesia\u2019s Faculty of Law (FH UI) in holding a forum and confronting\nthe perpetrators of sexual harassment on campus.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the response by the FH UI Student Executive Board\n(BEM) and the FH UI Student Family Association (IKM) demonstrates an\nopen and firm stance in addressing the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appreciate the BEM FH UI and IKM FHUI for their swift response to\nthe sexual violence case allegedly involving 16 FH UI students by\nholding a sort of \u2018RDPU\u2019 in the FH UI Auditorium openly,\u201d said\nHabiburokhman in a written statement on Wednesday (15\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see that the female and male students could speak firmly directly\nwith the alleged perpetrators to question their motives,\u201d said\nHabiburokhman.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, phenomena of violations by certain individuals can\noccur anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>However, Habiburokhman emphasised that the response from the FH UI\nstudent institution deserves appreciation for prioritising speed,\nopenness, and firmness.<\/p>\n<p>The Gerindra Party politician is confident that the case can be\nresolved well, including ensuring that the perpetrators are held\naccountable for their actions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe this sexual violence case can be resolved well, meaning\nthat those who are guilty are asked for proportionate accountability,\u201d\nsaid Habiburokhman.<\/p>\n<p>After the case surfaced on social media, FH UI students held an open\ntrial forum to demand accountability from 16 students alleged to be the\nperpetrators of harassment.<\/p>\n<p>FH UI BEM Chairman Anandaku Dimas Rumi Chattaristo said that the open\ntrial attended by the perpetrators essentially proceeded without\nviolence.<\/p>\n<p>However, the victim once shouted to express frustration directly to\nthe perpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCertainly, there was also a response from the victims who were\ndistressed and angry about the treatment by the perpetrators,\u201d said\nDimas when confirmed by Kompas.com on Tuesday (14\/4\/2026).<\/p>",
