The Secretary General of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Executive Board and\nChairman of the 2026 NU Ulama Congress and Grand Conference Committee,\nKH Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, inspected the planned location for the\nclosing ceremony of the NU Congress-Grand Conference at STAI Syaichona\nMoh. Cholil, Bangkalan, today.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Gus Ipul toured the area to check the readiness of\nthe event site, including the tents erected to welcome invited guests.\nHe also inspected several points designated for guest arrival flows,\nsecurity, and participant management.<\/p>\n
Gus Ipul engaged in direct discussions with the Regent of Bangkalan,\nLukman Hakim; the Bangkalan Police Chief, AKBP Wibowo; the caretaker of\nthe Syaichona Moh. Cholil Islamic Boarding School, RKH Muhammad Nasih\nAschal; and representatives from the NU Regional Branches across Madura\nto discuss the arrangement and tidying of the STAI Syaichona Moh. According to Gus Ipul, all preparations must be carried out in detail\nas the closing of the NU Congress-Grand Conference is scheduled to be\nattended by President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to ensure that every point is ready. From the event\nlocation, the President\u2019s arrival route, the flow for invited guests,\nsecurity, to the services for participants. Everything must be\nwell-organised,\u201d Gus Ipul stated in a written release on Friday\n(19\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Following the site inspection and dialogue with various parties, Gus\nIpul proceeded to the Bangkalan Regency Hall to lead a coordination\nmeeting regarding the preparations for the NU Congress-Grand Conference\nclosing.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by the Regent of Bangkalan, Lukman Hakim;\nthe Vice Regent of Bangkalan, Moch. Fauzan Dja\u2019far; the Bangkalan Police\nChief, AKBP Wibowo; the Bangkalan Military District Commander; various\nrelevant officials; and NU administrators from across Madura.<\/p>\n
During the coordination meeting, the committee, alongside the local\ngovernment, security forces, and NU elements, discussed the detailed\nscenario for welcoming the President. Key focus areas included the\nPresident\u2019s arrival route, the arrangement of VVIP and VIP guests,\nparticipant management, area security, tent readiness, road access, and\nthe availability of facilities around the event site.<\/p>\n
Gus Ipul emphasised that cross-party coordination is key to ensuring\nthe entire series of the NU Congress-Grand Conference closing proceeds\nin an orderly, smooth, and solemn manner.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is not just about the technical aspects of the event, but also\nabout showing respect to the clerics, the participants, the guests, and\ncertainly to the President whom we have invited to attend the closing.\nTherefore, everything must be prepared as well as possible,\u201d said Gus\nIpul.<\/p>\n
He also expressed his gratitude to the Bangkalan Regency Government,\nsecurity forces, the Syaichona Moh. Cholil Islamic Boarding School, the\nMinistry of Public Works, and all NU ranks in Madura who are assisting\nwith the event preparations.<\/p>\n
