        "content": "<p>The Gunungkidul District Environmental Services Department (DLH)\nstated that it has not yet received an environmental permit related to\nthe presence of On The Rock at Drini Beach, Gunungkidul. The District\nInvestment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) stated that\nOn The Rock is currently undergoing the spatial planning compliance\npermitting process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no environmental approval yet, because to process that one\nmust first process other permits,\u201d said Anna Prihatini Dyah Perwitasari,\nHead of the Arrangement and Enhancement Division for Environmental\nProtection and Management (P4LH) at DLH Gunungkidul, when contacted by\njournalists on Friday (13 March 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Anna continued that after processing permits related to spatial\nplanning, the process would then move to environmental permitting.\nAccording to her, DPMPTSP Gunungkidul has greater knowledge of this\nprocedure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf applying for permits, what they look like and what the\nrequirements are, that authority falls under DPMPTSP,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of DPMPTSP Gunungkidul, M. Arif Aldian, explained that the\nlicensing process requires the fulfilment of basic requirements. The\nfirst concerns spatial planning compliance permitting, environmental\npermitting and building permitting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that it comes to us as the final step. Well, for On The Rock\nit is still undergoing the spatial planning compliance permitting\nprocess,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in the environmental approval stage, the spatial\nplanning compliance permit documentation must be completed first. Then,\naccording to Arif, it proceeds to building permitting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause the permitting process is still ongoing, the Civil Service\nPolice have already issued a warning regarding this matter,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Head of the Land and Spatial Planning Service of\nGunungkidul, Fajar Ridwan, said the spatial planning compliance\npermitting for On The Rock is still being processed. According to him,\nit is currently awaiting technical approval from the National Land\nAgency (BPN) Gunungkidul.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe BPN technical approval process is underway,\u201d he said\nbriefly.<\/p>\n<p>The On The Rock public relations office declined to comment further\non the matter. They will first communicate with the On The Rock\nmanagement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat matter is not within my scope, and we can submit it to\nmanagement first,\u201d they said.<\/p>",
