The hottest chili, the most delicious sago and the spiciest
\nfish are some of the things chairwoman of the Indonesian
\nDemocratic Party, Megawati Soekarnoputri, has discovered during
\nher inter-island tours.<\/p>\n
"I don't usually like ikan pepes (smoked fish), but you should
\ntry the stuff from Manado (North Sulawesi), yum!" she told her
\nsister Sukmawati and other kin on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
They were attending the 25th wedding anniversary of her
\nbrother Guntur Soekarnoputra and his wife Henny Emilia. Later
\nMegawati insisted on her "right to eat".<\/p>\n
She wouldn't budge when repeatedly called to attend a speech
\nby a family member. She continued feasting on her Sayur lodeh
\n(coconut-milk vegetable soup) with bamboo shoots.<\/p>\n
Enjoying food where ever she is, her relatives agree, is one
\nway she keeps fresh and fit. Another recipe is her sense of
\nhumor. "I like to laugh at people's behavior," the politician
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
