However, they<br>\nalso urged the unconditional release of other labor activists and<br>\n\"prisoners of conscience\".<\/p>\n<p>Amnesty International said it welcomed measures to address the<br>\nhuman rights record and it urged authorities to take additional<br>\nsteps to implement legislative and institutional reforms to<br>\nprotect freedom of expression and association.<\/p>\n<p>Dita's release, Amnesty International said, \"comes at a time<br>\nwhen Amnesty International is investigating recent reports of<br>\nill-treatment of PRD members by police and of threats attacks<br>\nagainst PRD offices by unknown assailants\" such as in Yogyakarta.<br>\nDita is a member of the Democratic People's Party (PRD).<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the International Confederation of Free Trade<br>\nUnions noted the \"vigorous\" campaigning by several organizations<br>\nfor Dita's release from her sentence of five years' imprisonment<br>\nsince 1997 for \"subversion\".
