The central executive board (DPP) of GRIB Jaya has spoken out\nregarding the fire incident that occurred at their office located on\nJalan Manunggal V, South Kedoya, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, in the early\nhours of Monday (31\/8).<\/p>\n
Wilson Colling of the DPP GRIB Jaya Legal Division stated that, based\non inspection and identification at the scene, the fire was triggered by\nan electrical short circuit.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on inspection and identification at the scene of the incident,\nthe source of the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit\noriginating from a mobile phone charger that had been placed on top of a\nrefrigerator,\u201d Wilson said in his statement on Monday.<\/p>\n
Wilson said that sparks from the short circuit ignited curtains and\nwall wallpaper. The fire then spread to the sofa area and extended to\nthe ceiling of the room.<\/p>\n
Wilson added that the fire was handled swiftly, thanks to the\nalertness of firefighters, preventing the flames from spreading to other\nrooms or surrounding buildings.<\/p>\n
Wilson also confirmed that there were no fatalities or injuries in\nthe fire incident.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can confirm that there were no fatalities or injuries in this\nincident at the post\/office. The handling was completed at 03.28 WIB and\nthe situation is now fully conducive and has been given a green status,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
Previously, a fire struck a building serving as a post for the mass\norganisation GRIB on Jalan Manunggal V in Kedoya, West Jakarta, in the\nearly hours of Monday (31\/8). Information about the fire was reported to\nthe fire department at around 02.49 WIB.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe object is a mass organisation post (GRIB),\u201d said Syaiful Kahfi,\nHead of Operations at the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-department,\nwhen confirmed.<\/p>\n
Syaiful said that eight fire engines and 40 personnel were deployed\nto the scene to extinguish the blaze.<\/p>\n
