        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno stated\nthat the extent of green open space (RTH) in the capital currently\nreaches 3,703.56 hectares or 5.59 per cent, an increase compared to\n2024, which was 3,446 hectares (5.3 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe increase in the percentage of green open space through the\ndevelopment of 15 locations for park RTH, one location for green\ncorridor RTH, three locations for forest RTH, and one location for\ncemetery RTH with 7,627 potential new burial plots,\u201d said Rano during\nthe Plenary Session of the DKI Jakarta DPRD on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>This increase is part of DKI Jakarta\u2019s achievements related to\nenvironmental affairs in the Governor of DKI Jakarta\u2019s Accountability\nStatement Report (LKPJ) for the 2025 Fiscal Year.<\/p>\n<p>As is known, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) targets\nthe expansion of RTH to 30 per cent of the total land area by 2045.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, Rano also conveyed regarding the enhancement of\ncity park functions, including through the 24-hour park programme and\nthe integration of three parks, namely Taman Ayodya, Taman Leuser, and\nTaman Langsat into Taman Bendera Pusaka.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA number of parks that are open for 24 hours have become venues for\npublic activities that encourage a culture of social interaction among\nthe community,\u201d said Rano.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Jakarta\u2019s environmental quality index is recorded\nat 55.28 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are improvements in the water quality index, land quality\nindex, and seawater quality index,\u201d revealed Rano.<\/p>\n<p>Another achievement, he said, is the annual reduction in greenhouse\ngas (GRK) emissions to 26.96 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there is also an improvement in waste management with\n100 per cent of waste managed, consisting of 30 per cent waste reduction\nand 70 per cent waste handling, with a handling system capacity of 5,280\ntonnes per day.<\/p>",
