        "content": "<p>PT Mitra Stania Prima has achieved a gold ranking in the Company\nPerformance Rating Programme in Environmental Management (PROPER) 2025\nfrom the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).<\/p>\n<p>This award serves as evidence of the company\u2019s commitment to\nconducting sustainable mining practices through energy efficiency,\nreduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and empowerment of communities\naround its operational areas.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement also reflects the company\u2019s contribution to\nsupporting the transition towards a low-carbon economy, while creating\nsustainable economic and social added value.<\/p>\n<p>PT Mitra Stania Prima is one of the business units under ARSARI\nTambang, operating in the tin ore mining, processing, and refining\nsector. The company is located in the Air Kantung Industrial Estate and\nPort, Jelitik Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency.<\/p>\n<p>In the industry, PT Mitra Stania Prima (MSP) is the third largest tin\nmining company in Indonesia. Since 2013, MSP has been actively\nconducting mining activities in the Mapur area with a concession area of\n233.5 hectares and a potential reserve of 7,551 tonnes of tin.<\/p>\n<p>In its business chain, MSP also owns and operates tin processing and\nrefining facilities. The company operates two electric furnaces and\nutilises green energy sourced from Renewable Energy Certificates (REC)\nfrom PLN and green electricity furnaces.<\/p>\n<p>MSP branded tin ingot products are also registered with the London\nMetal Exchange (LME), which is one of the global quality standard\nindicators.<\/p>\n<p>Energy Transformation &amp; Eco-Innovation Drive Efficiency and\nEmission Reduction<\/p>\n<p>In its operations, the company has undertaken various breakthroughs\nthrough the Eco-Innovation programme, focusing on energy transformation\nand production process efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main steps is the transition of energy use from solar\n(diesel) to electricity based on PLN REC as well as the utilisation of\ngreen electricity furnace technology.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the company has also converted technology from\nreverberatory furnaces to electric furnaces, replacing fossil fuel-based\nfuel burners with electric systems, and optimising the use of overhead\ncranes to reduce reliance on fuel-powered forklifts.<\/p>\n<p>This transformation has had a significant impact on environmental\nperformance and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its commitment to carbon economic value, the company has\nalso taken initial steps through a carbon trading scheme by purchasing\n1,000 kg of CO\u2082 equivalent registered in the National Climate Change\nControl Registry System (SRN PPI).<\/p>\n<p>On the energy side, the company has integrated the use of REC\nelectricity and B35 biodiesel as part of its strategy to transition to\ncleaner energy.<\/p>\n<p>Social Innovation and Community Empowerment Based on Circular\nEconomy<\/p>\n<p>Not only focusing on environmental aspects, the company also\nimplements social innovation through the ARSARI Programme, which is\noriented towards community empowerment based on a circular economy.<\/p>\n<p>This programme utilises coconut waste to produce valuable products\nsuch as biochar and liquid smoke through closed combustion-based retort\ntechnology.<\/p>\n<p>Through this programme, the company has successfully formed four\ncommunity groups with an average income increase ranging from Rp1.5\nmillion to Rp1.9 million per month.
